“Wee” smokers in Berekum kicks against demolition of their ghettos
“Wee” smokers in Berekum in the Brong Ahafo region of Ghana have kicked against a decision by the authorities of the town to demolish their ghettos tomorrow.
Leaders of the Berekum Municipal Assembly led by the Assembly man for Berekum Berenyekkwa and Amngoase Electoral Mr. Abdulai Sadiq have decided to raze down the base of all wee smokers in the municipality tomorrow.
This, they say, will help reduce the crime rate in the town.
But, the “Ghetto” guys who will be affected by the planned demolishing exercise says destroying their ghettos will not solve the problem criminality in the community.
To them, instead of demolishing their ghettos, the authorities must find jobs for them.
