TOUCHING: A BLIND MAN IN CREDIT TRANSFER BUSINESS
A 36 year old blind man called Mr. Adu engages in credit transfer at Mamponteng- Odumanaafo in the Kwabre East District in the Ashanti Region of Ghana.
In a chat with OYEREPA FM’s reporter NANA YAW PEPRAH, He said he realized in his youthful age that, one of his eyes is not giving him a clear sight but careless till the other one too got dark when he was in JHS 1 which forced him out of school.
It was ashamed for him to be a beggar so he started keeping the little money he got from his father and friends until he got an amount of GH¢ 100 and started selling toffies. Two years later he added credit transfer to the toffee business.
Because he initially used a mobile phone the time he had his sight, he knows where the digits are located on the phone and transfers the credit with no mistake and knows any amount of money given to him after having a touch of it.
Mr. Adu has different place for any amount of money so it makes it easier for him to give balance to customers.
