Okess Student Stabbed to Death, Two Arrested
A student at Osei Kyeretwie Senior High School (OKESS) in the Ashanti region has reportedly been stabbed in the neck twice leading to his death by a gang of thieves.
According to Kumasi based OYEREPA FM’s reporter Maame Akosua Nhyiraba, a gang of thieves believed to be old students of the school raided the campus on Wednesday night.
The deceased heard people shouting and was finding out what was the cause of the screaming.
In the process of finding out what was happening the deceased identified as Godfred Arthur with a nickname ‘Scriptures’ was bumped up by one of the thieves who stabbed him twice on the neck leading to his death.
Meanwhile, parents have rushed to the school after the incident to see their children in the school.
However, the school authorities have denied the parents access to the campus.
The Board Chairman of the School says they are assisting police to carry out the investigations.
In attendance this afternoon was the Kumasi Metropolitan Assembly Chief Executive Hon. Osei Asseby Antwi and some dignities where he addressed the media and the student to stay calm.
“The police are still on carrying their investigation and have been able to arrest two of the unknown gangs who murdered Godfred Arthur. Some Police men are also here to see to the security of the remaining students.”
He took the opportunity to plead to parents and assured them to stay clam because they have put in place measures for their wards protections.
